GENERAL MANAGER – PART-TIME

Community Bank® branches of Bendigo Bank operate in Lancefield and Romsey. They are owned and operated by Lancefield & Romsey Community Financial Services Limited, a company owned by local shareholders and run by a Board of local residents and business people. Since opening their doors 17 years ago in Lancefield and 12 years ago in Romsey, the Community Bank® branches have invested over $1.3 million back into the local community.

About the role:
The Company has established a new executive role. The General Manager will become the principal officer of Lancefield & Romsey Community Financial Services Limited (LRCFSL) and will report directly to the Board. They will be responsible for ensuring that the company’s Purpose, Mission, Values and Goals are attained.

Major activities:
• Driving business growth and the strategic objectives of the branches to meet community and financial targets
• Leading human resources management, strategic planning, business development, financial control and marketing (including the annual Community Investment Program)
• Overseeing Board Compliance and Corporate Governance
• Managing the organisation’s resources within an agreed budget while ensuring a customer service focus is maintained
• Engaging with key stakeholders, businesses and the local community
• Maintaining a clear reporting framework for the Board and Management, including a risk management framework
• Liaising with Bendigo Bank regional management

Skills and experience:
This is a senior role and will suit a person with a proven track record in business management, administration and development in a competitive business environment. Applicants must possess highly developed interpersonal, relationship building, communication, financial management and negotiation skills.

Given the nature of the role, flexibility will be required to attend meetings and events after hours in addition to office hours commitments. The role of General Manager will operate in a professional office environment located in either Lancefield or Romsey.
